Musical travelling: Escolta musical mediada al transport públic
Abstract
La mediació tecnològica en la nostra escolta
musical és quelcom que ha esdevingut
plenament quotidià en les nostres societats.
Tan a l’abast de tothom està aquesta escolta,
que només calen uns auriculars i l’smartphone
que tots portem a les nostres butxaques.
El present treball focalitza aquest fenomen
tan massiu en un context com el del transport
públic. En escoltar música aquí, es
produeix un esdeveniment musical ben
particular que es troba mediat també per
l’espai que s’habita, així com pel temps que
transcorre. Per a entendre com ocorre això
s’ha generat una proposta de model d’anàlisi,
fent entrar en conjunció conceptes com
el del non-lieu (no-lloc) de Marc Augé, així
com el triangle d’Alan Merriam i la proposta
que la Georgina Born fa per a l’anàlisi de la
música en relació al so i a l’espai. A més a
més, s’han seguit els nombrosos estudis que
Michael Bull ha fet respecte a la mediated
listening per a així poder realitzar un treball
de camp. Aquest s’ha basat en entrevistes a
joves universitaris que, si bé no són una
mostra representativa, ens permet una
primera reflexió i plantejar certes contraposicions
respecte les idees proposades per
Bull. L’objectiu últim de l’anàlisi realitzada ha
sigut trobar si hi ha una consciència de
l’aïllament acústic i social que es produeix
quan s’escolta música en el transport públic.
